Kläppen is not only known for its alpine skiing but also for its excellent cross-country skiing network. The area boasts over 40 km of groomed trails, with a mix of flat, rolling, and hilly terrain, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers.

There are several loop options, including trails around the mountainside and through quiet snow-covered forests. Classic and skate skiing tracks are maintained regularly throughout the season. One of the highlights is the Elljusspåret, a 3.3 km illuminated trail perfect for evening skiing. More advanced skiers can enjoy the longer loops that offer more elevation and stunning views of the Västerdalälven valley.

Cross-country equipment can be rented at the Kläppen Ski Center, and maps are available at the main reception. Trails start near the main parking area and are clearly marked.
